Question: How do you come up with a scientific area to investigate

There are many ways to end up in scientific research. Take a moment and think of a situation/problem surrounding your life. Do you sometimes wonder why that scenario happens the way it does? For example, do you know someone in your life struggling with a certain illness? Or have you noticed the water in your community is not always safe for consumption? Such questions and curiosity could spark a desire to gain knowledge surrounding these problems to one day try and solve/understand these problems. Combining such curiosity with a good education (passing your exams) and collaborating with other like-minded people should lead you in science as an investigator!
